GOLDEN SQUASH SOUP
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
Dash nutmeg
2 cups milk
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup cooked, mashed, winter squash
2 tablespoons snipped parsley
Cook onion in butter until tender but not brown. Blend in flour, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Stir in remaining ingredients; cook and stir until mixture comes to boiling. Serve at once; garnish with parsley sprigs and a sprinkle of nutmeg.
