Beef 'n Bean TostadasServing Size: 6
1 can refried beans -- (16-oz.)
1 can chopped green chiles -- (4.5-oz.) drained
12 tostada shells
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 jar salsa -- (16 oz.)
1 1/2 cups shredded lettuce
3 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese -- (3/4 cup)
3/4 cup diced tomato
PREP TIME: READY IN 20 MINUTES OR LESS
SERVINGS: 12 TOSTADAS; 6 SERVINGS
Heat oven to 375 F. In medium bowl, combine beans and chiles; mix well. Spread 2 to 3 tablespoons bean mixture on each tostada shell; place on ungreased large cookie sheet. Bake at 375 F. for 5 to 7 minutes or until hot.
Meanwhile, brown ground beef in large skillet over medium heat until thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the salsa. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Serve tostada shells topped with hot beef mixture, shredded lettuce, cheese, tomato and remaining salsa.
