Ozark Pie
Ingredients
1/4 cup flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 cup each chopped peeled apples, chopped nuts
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
3 medium vhocolate covered toffee bars, crushed
Directions
Heat oven to 350º F. (175º C)
Grease a 9 or 10" pie plate or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Mix flour, baking powder, sugar, salt and egg well. Stir in apples and nuts. Place in pie plate and bake for 25 - 30 minutes.6. Cool for 1 hour. Ice Cream Remove vanilla ice cream from freezer and let sit out about 10 minutes or until soft. Fill pie shell with softened ice cream. Sprinkle with crushed toffee bars and place in freezer. Remove from freezer about 5 minutes before serving for easier slicing. Top with whipped topping if wanted. Makes 6 servings.
