Wormy Caramel Apple
Martini (Halloween)
Lemon juice
Sanding sugar
Apple slice, optional
gummy worm, optional
4 oz. caramel vodka, such
as Player's Extreme Caramel Vodka from heartlandspirits.com
2 oz. club soda
1 oz. sweet and sour
schnapps, such as Dekuypers Sour Apple Pucker
In a small shallow dish,
pour a small amount of lemon juice. In another shallow dish, add desired amount
of sanding sugar. Dip rim of martini glass in lemon juice and then in sanding
sugar to coat. Let stand to dry. Using a paring knife, make a small hole in
apple slice. Push a gummy worm through hole. Fill cocktail shaker halfway with
ice. Add caramel vodka, club soda, and sweet and sour schnapps. Shake
vigorously for 5 to 10 seconds. Strain into prepare martini glass. Garnish with
a gummy worm apple slice if desired. Note: To prevent apple slices from turning
brown, dip in lemon juice; drain. Makes 1 drink.
