I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Ando's Cheese Scones

Ando's Cheese Scones



Yield: 1

Ingredients:

          2    cup  SR flour
          1    pch  cayenne pepper
          1    tbl  butter
          1    cup  tasty cheese
          1    egg
          6    tbl  milk



Method:

Sift flour. Add cayenne pepper.

Quickly rub butter into flour. Add the cheese and egg then add the milk.

Mix quickly with a spoon. Throw onto a floured board, pat out.

Cut into circles with a jar or scone cutter. Brush the top with milk.

Put in hot oven for 10 minutes.

The key to these scones is to make them as quickly as possible with minimum handling. So just chuck everything in and don't worry. 

Serve with butter.

Excellent with soup.
