I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Oatmeal Banana Bread

Oatmeal Banana Bread

Ingredients:

2 cups biscuit mix (Bisquick, Pioneer, etc.)
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large ripe bananas, mashed, to measure about 1 cup
1/4 cup milk

Preparation:

Combine biscuit mix, oats, and chopped nuts; set aside.

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time; stir in the vanilla, bananas and milk. Add dry ingredients all at once, stirring just until moistened. Put batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 F for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
