Olive Garden Salad Dressing
1/2 cup white vinegar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup oil
1/4 cup corn syrup
2 1/2 Tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons dry pectin
2 Tablespoons beaten egg
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon dry parsley
Pinch each of oregano and crushed red pepper
I would have never guessed the dry pectin (it's a
thickener) or the beaten egg. The corn syrup's not a
surprise since it's in everything, it would be interesting to see if
the dressing would taste okay without it, or with some Splenda for sweetness
instead.
