I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

BAKED PICNIC HAM

BAKED PICNIC HAM

1 (4 1/2 lb.) picnic ham
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
1 small Coke

Wash ham; place in roaster, skin side down. Pour remaining ingredients over ham. Cover and bake at 400° for 2 hours and 30 minutes or until tender.

Remove skin and top fat from ham. Sprinkle with additional brown sugar. Brown top slightly. Cool; slice.
