Strawberry Cheese Ring

Strawberry Cheese Ring Recipe #45107

This recipe sounds weird, but it is really good. The jam and the cheese flavors really meld together. I used pecans in mine, but almonds are good also. Cook time includes refrigeration time.

SERVES 20

· 16 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated

· 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

· 3/4 cup mayonnaise

· 1 small onion, chopped

· 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

· 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

· cayenne pepper

· 1 cup strawberry preserves

1. Combine all the ingrdients except preserves in a food processor or electic mixer.
2. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
3. Scoop mixture onto a platter.
4. Use your hands to mold mixture into a ring formation.
5. Spread strawberry preserves in the center of ring.
6. Serve with buttery crackers.
