I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Spinach-Orange Salad

Spinach-Orange Salad

7 cups torn fresh spinach
1 1/3 cups chopped purple onion
1 large navel orange, peeled and coarsely chopped
2 1/2 tabl red wine vinegar
1 1/2 tabl vegetable oil
1 1/2 tabl water
1/2 teas beef-flavored bouillon granules
1 1/2 tabl honey
 
Combine first 3 ingredients in a large bowl; toss gently, and set aside. Combine vinegar and remaining ingredients; stir with a wire whisk until bouillon granules dissolve. Pour over spinach mixture, and toss gently. 8 servings
