I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

PEACH DUMPLINGS


PEACH DUMPLINGS


6 servings
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cornstarch
1 cup water
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 tsp allspice
3 cups peeled sliced fresh peaches (1-1/2 to 2 lb)
2 cups biscuit mix
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Whipping cream

Combine 3/4 cup sugar and cornstarch in 10-inch frying pan. Stir in
water, lemon juice and allspice. Cook over medium heat, stirring
constantly, until mixtures reaches boiling point. Remove from heat.

Add peaches.
Mix biscuit mix, sugar, milk and butter in bowl. Stir quickly with a fork to mix thoroughly. Heat peach mixture to boiling point. Divide dough into 6 parts. 

Drop on top of fruit.
Cover tightly and simmer 10 minutes. Remove cover and simmer 10 minutes.
Cool and spoon into serving dishes. Pour cream over each serving.
