I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Chicken-Flavored Rice Mix

Chicken-Flavored Rice Mix
Makes about 4 cups of mix

1 tsp salt
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
4 tbsp instant chicken bouillon
2 tsp dried tarragon
1/4 tsp white pepper
4 cups uncooked long grain rice

Combine first five ingredients; stir until evenly distributed.

Divide the uncooked rice into three 1-pint containers or zipper-lock bags and add 1/3 of the seasoning mix to each container. Label and store in a cool, dry place. Use within 6 to 8 months.

CHICKEN-FLAVORED RICE
Makes 4 to 6 servings

Mix 1 container (1 1/3 cups) Chicken-Flavored Rice Mix with 2 cups cold water and 1 Tbsp butter or margarine in a medium saucepan. Bring water to a boil over high heat. Cover and reduce the heat and cook for 15 to 25 minutes, until liquid is absorbed.
