I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Uncle Joe's Stuffed Bread

Uncle Joe's Stuffed Bread

  Brown:

1/2 lb. ground beef, drain grease

Add:

1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. bell pepper

Cook 5 minutes - set aside.
Hollow out a large loaf of French bread.
Crumble the "middle" of the bread into meat mixture.

Add:

2 c. mixed vegetables, cooked
1 c. grated Cheddar or American cheese

Stuff the hollowed out loaf with this mixture. Wrap in foil and bake
until heated through - about 20 minutes at 350 degrees (loaf may be
buttered before baking).
