Notes

I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

German Skillet Supper

German Skillet Supper

1 tablespoon butter
1 can sauerkraut -- (14 ounce) drained
2/3 cup uncooked rice
1 medium onion -- chopped
1 pound ground chuck beef -- uncooked
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 can tomato sauce -- (8 ounce)

In large skillet, heat butter. Spread sauerkraut over butter, sprinkle with rice, then onion. Top with ground chuck, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce. Cook covered over low heat for 25 to 30 minutes. May rinse sauerkraut a bit if you wish-I don't.
