I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

SPICY HOT CHILI

SPICY HOT CHILI

1 lb. ground beef or pork
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans, drained
1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers, rinsed, seeded & chopped
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. oregano, crushed
1/4 tsp. celery salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Few drops bottled hot pepper sauce
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
3/4 c. tomato juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. cayenne
1/8 tsp. dry mustard

In large saucepan cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is browned; drain off fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, beans, tomato juice, chili peppers, Worcestershire, paprika, sugar, salt, oregano, cumin,
celery salt, cayenne, pepper, mustard, hot pepper sauce and 1 cup water. Cover and simmer for 20-30
minutes. Makes 4-6 servings.
