I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Tangy Asparagus Salad

Tangy Asparagus Salad

Ingredients:

 2 pounds fresh asparagus, trimmed, steamed, and drained
 2 tablespoons tarragon vinegar
 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
 1/3 cup salad oil
 1/4 teaspoon sugar
 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
 2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
 1 green onion, finely chopped, with some green
 1 hard-cooked egg, sliced

 Preparation:

 Place asparagus in a shallow dish. In bowl,combine vinegars, oil, sugar, relish, and parsley and green onion. Pour dressing over asparagus. Chill until serving time. Just before serving, garnish with egg slices.

Serves 4 to 6.
