I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

SWEDISH CHRISTMAS FRUIT COOKIES

SWEDISH CHRISTMAS FRUIT COOKIES


3/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs -- beaten
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup sour cream
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped raisins
1/2 cup chopped candied cherries
1 cup chopped candied pineapple
1 cup chopped nuts

Cream butter, add sugar and eggs. Dissolve soda in sour cream. Combine a mixture of flour, cornstarch and salt. Add half to mixture. Add vanilla, fruits and nuts and mix thoroughly. Add the rest of flour. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
