I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Heavenly Fruit Salad

Heavenly Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

3 beaten egg yolks
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. pineapple juice
1 Tbsp. butter
dash salt
1 cup whipping cream, whipped
2 cans pitted white cherries, drained
2 cans pineapple tidbits
2 large cut up oranges
2 cup small marshmallows (or quartered big ones)

Directions:

Combine egg yolks, sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice, butter and salt. Cook over hot but not boiling water until mixture thickens stirring constantly.

Cool. Stir in fruits and marshmallows. After combining dressing and fruit, fold in cream. Let stand in ice box 24 hours prior to serving.
