I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

PHYLISS' 100 YEAR OLD DROP COOKIES

PHYLISS' 100 YEAR OLD DROP COOKIES


1/2 c. lard
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. molasses
4 c. bread flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. soda

Melt lard and butter. Add sugar. Beat egg until foamy and add. Add molasses. Sift dry ingredients together. Add soda to sour milk. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately.

Drop on well greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes. Enjoy.
