I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Apple Luncheon Salad

Apple Luncheon Salad

3 cups diced red apples
1 cup julienned cooked roast beef
1 cup thinly sliced celery
4 green onions -- thinly sliced
1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
1/3 cup oil
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 clove garlic -- minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
lettuce leaves

In a bowl, combine apples, roast beef, celery, green onions and parsley.

In a small bowl, combine oil, cider vinegar, garlic, salt and pepper.

Mix well. Pour over apple mixture and toss to coat. Cover and chill
for at least 1 hour. Serve on lettuce leaves.

Serves: 4
