Notes

I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Rice Pudding

MOTHER'S RICE PUDDING WITH RAISINS

1 1/2 qt. whole milk
4 Tbsp. natural raw rice
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
dash of salt
1/2 c. golden raisins

In a 2-quart casserole combine the first 5 ingredients.

Bake at 250 degrees for 2 1/2 hours, stirring every 20 minutes. Stir
in raisins and cook 30 minutes longer without stirring.

My mother devised this recipe because she disliked party
puddings. This one is creamy.
