I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Mustard Ham Sauce

Mustard Ham Sauce

* 1 cup chicken or beef broth
* 1 cup prepared mustard
* 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
* 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
* 3 tablespoons butter
* 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
* 2 tablespoons tomato paste
* 2 tablespoons molasses
* 1 tablespoon garlic powder
* 1 tablespoon onion powder
* 1-1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

* In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until the flavors are blended. Remove from the heat; cool. Yield: 2-1/3 cups.
