I think the notes people include in their recipes make them more personal. If I write a note myself about a recipe, it will always be written in purple.

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse Pie

Heavenly Chocolate Mousse Pie
9-inch pie

This is very rich and is so tasty. It is one of my daughter's favorite pies. I made it all the time when she was home. The recipe source is unknown.
Ingredients:

2 packages unflavored gelatin
4 tablespoons sugar
3 cups milk
1 package (12 ounces) chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 cups sweetened whipped topping (cool whip)
1 9-inch baked pie shell

In medium saucepan, mix gelatin with sugar; blend in milk. Let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until completely dissolved, about 15 minutes.

Add chocolate chips and stir until melted; beat mixture until well blended.

Stir in vanilla. Chill until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from spoon, stirring occasionally. Fold in whipped topping. Turn into pie shell and chill until firm.

Serve with additional whipped cream and chocolate.
